Alan and crew removed all this garbage and replaced it with California native plants. It’s a beautiful wonderland, a sanctuary where once was a garbage pit. Bay Maples helped guide us through the sprinkler-removal rebate program. Five stars!”
When we first met Alan, we didn’t have a plan – we heard about the landscape rebate program and wanted to revitalize our tired front yard with native plants. Alan made the whole process very easy – from sketching the installation plan, guiding plant selections, navigating the rebate process – he and everyone on his team are easy to work with and always happy to answer our questions. Even to this day, he checks in from time to time, a simple but much appreciated touch…
As a bonus, he suggested salvaging a diseased liquidambar tree we had removed. Not only did it avoid the landfill, he gave it new life as a beautiful slab bench – not only a conversation piece but something we enjoy using every day (check out his other amazing wood work on social media).

I contacted Alan to install a laundry to landscape system in our garden. I had contacted two other firms and was really disappointed in their costs, delays in response, and lack of professionalism. Not Alan, he got back to me in one day, got me a bid in three, I paid the deposit and ten days later, a crew was here installing. This is amazing considering the typical delays these days.
A crew of three came out exactly on time, did a beautiful job, cleaned up, tested the system, and were done in about five hours. Super friendly and professional.
I’ve done many, many home improvement and landscaping jobs over my life and have reasonable expectations, and know what can and cannot be done.
I would hire them again in a heartbeat… and hope to do so again in the near future!!
Alan is very resourceful and friendly business owner to work with. Despite some initial communication challenges he recently came out and fixed my washing machine gray water circuit, which the previous contractor had left in a half-baked state. In a follow-up appointment in June 2019 he stopped by again to address the fix the house gray water system – he installed an electronic actuator on the 3-way valve to switch between gray & black water and got the whole system working via a simple switch. Thanks!
Alan and his team have helped me with several projects over the past 5 years, including remodeling my front yard, installing a rain catchment system and fabricating several pieces of custom furniture for my home. I appreciate Alan’s eye for using salvaged materials and creative ideas for incorporating sustainable designs in the projects he’s done for me.
Alan is in the process of helping redesign my backyard and I’m excited to be working with his team again. They are always respectful and responsive to my input when we work together

I had my front yard re-imagined by the awesome folks at Bay Maples this summer. We couldn’t be happier with the results! The team was highly communicative and responsive throughout the entire process which meant a lot as I tend to be a demanding guy when it comes to home improvement projects 🙂 The quality of work was beyond what we expected and we look forward to doing business with them as we think about landscaping our backyard and getting a gray water system, and rain water storage installed next year.
Alan h. And his bay maples crew did an amazing job with my lawn. I have an amazing drought tolerant back yard, along with a new water feature and some fruit trees. Alan was very helpful along the whole process. If I had a question, he had an answer. His crew made sure to leave my house clean at the end of day. The have done some amazing woodwork for me, fire pit from recycled material, and installed a laundry to lawn system. His knowledge on trimming fruit trees and drought tolerant plants have helped me out during this rain season. They are just BLOOMIMG!!! Thank you bay maples for turning my back yard into a getaway oasis!
