Elsa Manco2023-12-22The designer incorporated our ideas into the blueprint with minor adjustments. We were very satisfied with the backyard design. We wished that we had a 3D rendering of the blueprint as we weren't good visualizing the final garden. Workers were courteous and clean. Alan was good at answering all our questions before, during and after the project. He modified and/or added details as a response to our concerns. The result is a beautiful, professional-looking, and earth friendly backyard. We just had our first maintenance visit before the rains, Aiden left the backyard looking great. PD We were happily surprised at the amount we got back from the landscape rebate program. Thank you, Alan and his team.

They took the time to insure all the details were going to work. My clients are very happy with the results. We went back and had a custom back plate made for a wall mounted wine opener, it's a huge hit at parties. I'll be working with Bay Maple's again, they are a wonderful company. In addition to the native plant landscaping, highlights include: a custom corten steel planter box and cocktail garden curved to our existing patio with attached natural live edge bench, storm water swale down the middle of the yard with log bridge, custom Little Free Library, automatic drip irrigation system, landscape lighting, custom pattern bricklaying, flagstone pathways, compacted decomposed granite pathways, boulders and stumps strategically placed for kids obstacle course, and much more. The attention to detail and the quality was truly impressive. They'll work closely with you to help you realize your full vision, and make sure your vision is ambitious, complete, and makes sense. If you don't have a vision, they can sketch one up for you! True professionals with pride in their craft.

Allen of Bay Maple 🍁 & I share many of the same costumers .. Consequently I’ve seen many of his native installations & have also collaborated together on several projects … His installs are clean , conducive to our zonal climate & built for water conservation.. The latter aspect of which has always impressed me in this day & age ..He is very knowledgeable & many of my customers have nothing but good things to say about him ..I have recommended him on several projects & will continue to do so .. Being in this industry for as long as I have been it’s not only easy to grade him with 5 stars but completely earned ..
Miguel Mateos2023-12-09Bay Maples did a great job transforming our front and side yards to a low water-usage garden. Together, we selected plants that don't require much water but still flower, attracting bees, butterflies and other insects (I have even seen grasshoppers and praying mantises). We already had fruit trees, and they added a couple more that we wanted (figs & persimmons). They also come by periodically to help us keep the plants in good shape. We are very happy with the results, and after a stressful day or week, it's nice to look at the garden, soak in its tranquility, and feel those relaxing vibes.

“We moved into a house that had been neglected for close to 30 years. The backyard had a broken down rabbit hutch, some very diseased cactus, a few privets, a lot of crabgrass. Alan and crew removed all this garbage and replaced it with California native plants. It’s a beautiful wonderland, a sanctuary where once was a garbage pit. Bay Maples helped guide us through the sprinkler-removal rebate program. Five stars!”
When we first met Alan, we didn’t have a plan – we heard about the landscape rebate program and wanted to revitalize our tired front yard with native plants. Alan made the whole process very easy – from sketching the installation plan, guiding plant selections, navigating the rebate process – he and everyone on his team are easy to work with and always happy to answer our questions. Even to this day, he checks in from time to time, a simple but much appreciated touch…
As a bonus, he suggested salvaging a diseased liquidambar tree we had removed. Not only did it avoid the landfill, he gave it new life as a beautiful slab bench – not only a conversation piece but something we enjoy using every day (check out his other amazing wood work on social media).

Alan and his crew are the best – beautiful design, work done on schedule, with helpful suggestions along the way. Our lawn has been transformed into a beautiful native garden! I highly recommend Alan and Bay Maples for any landscape design project.
I contacted Alan to install a laundry to landscape system in our garden. I had contacted two other firms and was really disappointed in their costs, delays in response, and lack of professionalism. Not Alan, he got back to me in one day, got me a bid in three, I paid the deposit and ten days later, a crew was here installing. This is amazing considering the typical delays these days.
A crew of three came out exactly on time, did a beautiful job, cleaned up, tested the system, and were done in about five hours. Super friendly and professional.
I’ve done many, many home improvement and landscaping jobs over my life and have reasonable expectations, and know what can and cannot be done.
I would hire them again in a heartbeat… and hope to do so again in the near future!!
Alan is very resourceful and friendly business owner to work with. Despite some initial communication challenges he recently came out and fixed my washing machine gray water circuit, which the previous contractor had left in a half-baked state. In a follow-up appointment in June 2019 he stopped by again to address the fix the house gray water system – he installed an electronic actuator on the 3-way valve to switch between gray & black water and got the whole system working via a simple switch. Thanks!
Alan and his team have helped me with several projects over the past 5 years, including remodeling my front yard, installing a rain catchment system and fabricating several pieces of custom furniture for my home. I appreciate Alan’s eye for using salvaged materials and creative ideas for incorporating sustainable designs in the projects he’s done for me.
Alan is in the process of helping redesign my backyard and I’m excited to be working with his team again. They are always respectful and responsive to my input when we work together

I had my front yard re-imagined by the awesome folks at Bay Maples this summer. We couldn’t be happier with the results! The team was highly communicative and responsive throughout the entire process which meant a lot as I tend to be a demanding guy when it comes to home improvement projects 🙂 The quality of work was beyond what we expected and we look forward to doing business with them as we think about landscaping our backyard and getting a gray water system, and rain water storage installed next year.
Alan h. And his bay maples crew did an amazing job with my lawn. I have an amazing drought tolerant back yard, along with a new water feature and some fruit trees. Alan was very helpful along the whole process. If I had a question, he had an answer. His crew made sure to leave my house clean at the end of day. The have done some amazing woodwork for me, fire pit from recycled material, and installed a laundry to lawn system. His knowledge on trimming fruit trees and drought tolerant plants have helped me out during this rain season. They are just BLOOMIMG!!!
